About Me

I started JSD Writes, LLC, in 2014 after years of working in the corporate marketing and ad agency worlds as a copywriter, marketing specialist, editor, and creative collaborator.

My love for stories and storytelling started at a very young age. Thanks to a neighbor who was studying to be a teacher, she taught me how to read at age 3 as part of her college project. My mother nurtured by reading by emphasizing comprehension and context — and introducing me to the library. The Plaza Library was (and continues to be) my friend.

Storytelling remains my favorite lane. I am drawn to helping my clients tell their stories, whether that is going as deep as exploring decarbonization efforts, educating readers about COVID-19 in the early stages of the pandemic, to telling the stories of how two students elevated their education experiences through honor program coursework and projects.
